Raku Ceramics from J. Davis Studio

Living in far west Texas has had a profound effect on John Davis' pottery. The rugged beauty and history of the Big Bend region helped inspire John's Raku line. Inspiration comes from both the mountainous beauty, and the rich history associated with the area.

"When my oldest daughter was about five years old, she and a friend would take shovels and go out and dig all over the place. They were always digging for treasure, always excited about digging for treasures. So that gave me the idea for these pieces that would be treasures."
